Cookie Policy
What this site stores in your browser, what the product stores once you are signed in, and what we deliberately don't run.

1.What a cookie is here
A cookie is a small file a site stores in your browser. The same rules apply to the related technologies a modern site uses instead, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, and this page covers those too.
2.What this marketing site sets
This site, the pages you are reading now, is a static front end. It sets no advertising cookies and runs no ad-network pixels.
What it does load and store:
- Google Analytics 4. If you allow measurement, GA4 sets its own cookies and records which pages are read, the page you came from, coarse location derived from your IP address and which calls to action are used. If you decline, or have not chosen yet, it still receives a cookieless page-view ping through Google Consent Mode: no cookie, no identifier stored on your device, nothing that links one visit to the next. We do not use it for advertising audiences or remarketing, and we do not join it to your email address.
- PostHog. Counts page views on this site. Without your consent it runs cookieless: the visitor id lives in the open tab's memory only and is gone when you close it, so nothing is written to your browser and no two visits are linked. If you allow measurement, the id is kept in a cookie on techsalestr.com, which lets us see that a visit and a later signup at app.techsalestr.com belong to the same journey. EU-hosted, session recording off, never used for advertising.
- TechSales visit measurement. Our own script records which pages of this site are read and for how long. It names a visitor only when they arrive through a link in one of our emails or type their email into a form here; everyone else is counted, not identified. It runs cookieless: a random id lives in the open tab's sessionStorage and is gone when you close it, so no two visits are linked and nothing is used for advertising.
- Theme preference. Whether you chose light or dark, kept in localStorage so the page doesn't flash the wrong one on your next visit. Never leaves your browser.
- Your cookie choice. The decision you make below is kept in your browser's localStorage under
techsales_cookie_consentso we don't ask again on every page. It never leaves your browser. - Cloudflare security. Our delivery network may set a cookie to distinguish a person from an attack. Strictly necessary, and not used to profile you.
- Form submission. When you submit a form, it is sent to our CRM (HubSpot). That request may set a cookie from HubSpot's domain at the point of submission, which is what lets them attribute your enquiry rather than losing it.
3.What the product sets once you sign in
TechSales, the application behind a login, sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in and stores interface preferences such as which tab you were on and which filters you had applied. These are strictly necessary for the product to function.
4.Product analytics inside TechSales
Once you are signed in, we use PostHog to see which parts of the product are actually used and where people get stuck. It records pages visited inside the app, and it is tied to your user and workspace rather than being anonymous, because "which customers are hitting this" is the question that makes it worth collecting at all.
Session recording is switched off, deliberately and in the code rather than as a setting someone could flip by accident. The product renders your prospects' names, email addresses and deal values on nearly every screen, and the default masking in these tools covers form inputs rather than arbitrary displayed text. Recording before solving that would put your prospect data into a video we hold, which is not a trade we are willing to make for a usage metric.
It is hosted in the EU, it is never used for advertising, and it is not sold or shared. If you would rather not be measured inside the product, say so and we will exclude your workspace.
5.Your choices
No analytics cookie and nothing that identifies you is stored until you say so. On your first visit you are asked, and both measurement tools start in a cookieless state before they are even configured, so declining is not a promise to delete something later. What still happens without consent is an anonymous count of page views, with nothing kept on your device.
You can change your mind whenever you like: Cookie settings in the footer reopens the same choice, and withdrawing is one click, exactly as giving it was.
Two honest notes. The marketing category is there for a future we have not reached: there are no ad pixels on this site today, and your preference is stored against the day there are. And nothing here falls back to a second method when the first is blocked, so a browser-level tracker blocker genuinely stops measurement rather than being routed around.
You can also clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will sign you out of the product and may stop forms from submitting.
If we add advertising or any further measurement, this page changes with it, and the consent choice arrives before the script loads rather than after.
